Clients and families came together for an afternoon full of laughter, creativity, and community spirit. Familias First is excited to share an amazing opportunity for families.

This October and November, CBC Education Inc. is offering a FREE online workshop designed to support Latino families connected with Regional Centers. The workshop series is called PEARL – Proactive Early Assessment & Resources for Latinos and it will be presented in English and Spanish. This workshop is funded by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).

PEARL is all about helping parents and caregivers better understand child development, access Regional Center services, and strengthen family support systems.

The workshops are interactive and online via Zoom, making it easy for families to participate from home.

The Client Access and Resolution for Essential Services (CARES) workshop is a four-part series created to guide families through the appeals process and help them secure the services their loved ones need. Offered at no cost, the workshop will be held online via Zoom and is available in both English and Spanish:

• Spanish series begins September 9
• Sessions run from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
