The Latino Association for Behavior Analysis (LABA) hosted its third annual conference, Lucando, on Saturday, September 19, at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach.
Our staff were thrilled to take part in a full day of inspiring presentations, keynote sessions, mentorship, and community connection. The event also featured wonderful music from Sacramento violinist and vocalist Suemy G, who performed during the Cafecito Networking Event and lunch.
A special highlight was the closing keynote, delivered by our CEO, Ruth Tello-Di Leva, alongside Carmen Ruiz-Ochoa, BCBA. Together, they presented The Art and Science of Culturally Humble Supervision.
Founded in 2015, LABA is dedicated to advancing cultural, social, and ethnic diversity in the field of applied behavior analysis and addressing the needs of diverse individuals and communities. The organization was established by three Latino behavior analysts: Ruth Tello-Di Leva, Isaac Bermudez, and Jose D. Rios.
