RE: Precautionary Measures for the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Familias First is taking the following measures in regards to the COVID-19. These
measures have been developed with the collaboration of the Administration Core
Teams.
1. Established Core Teams to coordinate and expedite review, augmentation and
mitigation steps specific to COVID-19 response.
- Continued meetings are scheduled regarding updates of the COVID-19
released by World Health Organization and Center of Disease Control and
Prevention.
2. Began monitoring, analyzing, and applying COVID-19 related information to
inform members of precautionary measures.
- A letter to all members was sent providing them with information regarding
the COVID-19. - Informational flyers have been placed in the lobby for members and staff.
- Behavior Technicians are providing parents with the set of three
flyers regarding COVID-19. - An email has been sent to all staff instructing them of the precautions they
need to take when providing services for our members. - An email was sent to the case managers with instructions when
providing services, when they are on site and off site and to inform the Core
Team when a behavior technician or members displays symptoms of
the COVID-19. - A Spanish and English message using an outbound voice broadcasting feature, VoiceShot, was sent to parents reminding them of the precautions take with their family and that they should cancel their appointment if anyone in household is showing respiratory disease symptoms.
3. Reinforce behaviors that help minimize the spread of COVID-19.
- A step by step hand washing visual has been placed in all restrooms for
parents, members and staff to follow. - Hand sanitizers have been placed in all rooms.
- Hand sanitizers signs are being placed at the stations where the hand
sanitizer are located. - Before each appointment members are asked to wash hands.
- Members are asked to cover their mouth when coughing or sneezing with inside of elbow and wash hands after. As well as to dispose of any tissue after one use.
- All staff has been asked to stay home if they show flu like symptoms and follow internal policy cancellations procedures.
4. Prepared travel and site access controls policy to help minimize COVID-19 spread.
- Behavior technicians are asked to wash hands before and after having contact with each member.
- Company has provided on site flyer with information to families and staff regarding COVID-19, including information on steps to be take precautions and identify symptoms.
5. Began increased facility hygiene steps and frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces.
- All rooms are being disinfected as well as common areas using Lysol and Clorox wipes.
- Lysol sprays have been placed on all bathrooms.
- Additional cleaning services have been scheduled.
6. A warning/reminder message about washing hands and disinfecting all devices will be displayed on all company computers, laptops and phones when the employee logs in.
7. Monitoring access to care for our members; collaborating with health insurance and regional centers to improve access to services during the state of emergency declared by California and Los Angeles County.
